Meet Esther Stewart — A Grand-Mother of 3 and Mother of 4 who has moved to Ottawa, with her family in the last year from her BC FN Northern Community to take full time employment.
Her Dream: is to startup a home business sewing and embroidery Aboriginal custom design shop. To produce modern day clothing that incorporates designs from various collaborating First Nation artists from across Canada.
She was accepted as an ICN Entrepreneurial Intern of the Blueprints for Success program. As such we have produced a first interview with Esther, to learn of her aspirations and about the type of information she is seeking from experienced entrepreneurs and subject experts. The interview is available on our site.
The next live panel discussion is to be produced Tuesday March 21st, 2017. In this live online panel discussion Esther will have the opportunity to discuss her idea with experts, together they will explore potential challenges and opportunities she may face in implementing her idea . ICN has invited Aboriginal Fashionista Angela DeMontigny and Metis-entrepreneur Jacques Pilon as panelists
