Entrepreneurship is Management

Creativity and imagination are characteristics of an entrepreneur.  However, entrepreneurship is also management or processes.

A  panel of experts comes together at the I Do Business Atlantic Business Summit to discuss their experience in starting and growing a business. They discuss issues such as the need to know what is your business sweet spot, the need to focus and not be characterized as a jack of all trades. If you are to be a supplier of goods and services you need to be transparent as well as competitive.

They discuss the value of having a mentor that understands what’s going on in your environment, someone who can take a step back from emotions that often come with dealing with business challenges.

The discussions are followed by a Q&A session with the audience,  providing great food for thought.

The panelists are: Cassandra Dorrington, President of the Canadian Aboriginal Minorities Supplier Council (CAMSC), Bernd Christmas, the Founder of Bernd Christmas Law Group, Hugh Kerr, the Supply Chain Manager for Nova Scotia Power and Eric Christmas, the Energy Advisor for the Mi’kmaw Rights Initiative.
